A little life + studio update
I’ve had a lot of people reach out recently asking if everything is okay, so I wanted to take a moment to share a bit of what’s been going on behind the scenes.
Over the past little while, things have been quieter here on social media as our family navigates my son’s recent diagnosis with a rare eye condition called Coats’ disease. It’s been a lot to process, and we’re taking things day by day. Through it all, he’s shown incredible strength. If you know Hudson, you know he is a tough one.
What is Coats’ Disease?
Coats’ disease is a rare condition that affects the blood vessels in the retina, often leading to vision loss in one eye. It typically appears in kids around the age 5 and can require ongoing monitoring and in our case, regular surgical treatments. Because it’s so uncommon, many people have never heard of it, which is part of why sharing and spreading awareness feels important.
I debated whether or not to share this. But hearing from others who live full, vibrant lives with vision loss in one eye has been incredibly comforting and encouraging🤍.
While life has felt tender in my personal life, Front Porch Studio is very much open full-time. Projects are still unfolding quietly behind the scenes, and staying connected to creative work has truly helped carry me through. I’m so grateful for all of our clients and the community who continue to trust me with their ideas and businesses.
I’m also excited to share that we’re officially booking new projects for 2026. Creativity has always been a grounding force for me, and I genuinely can’t wait to hear about what you’re dreaming up next year.
Thank you for keeping us in your thoughts, check-ins, and support it means more than you know.
